Leslie came aboard at Velasco & Associates in 1998. Her strength lies in writing and her work has earned honors from the Business Marketing Associations of New York and Chicago, the Association For Women in Communications and the American Advertising Awards Competition.

Previously, Leslie was employed at the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, where she developed promotional materials for industry trade magazines including media kits, direct mail, advertisements and newsletters. She graduated with university and departmental honors in journalism from Northern Illinois University and took her first job in southern California, working as a marketing writer for a national medical group. She serves on the Rockford Network Board of Directors, the advisory board for Grace Homes and the marketing committee for Easter Seals Children’s Development Center.

Leslie, her husband, and daughter share their home with Coco, an English springer spaniel, and Allie, a beagle/basset mix – opposites in every way, and every bit a part of the family.
