March 2009 – Velasco & Associates wins ADDY awards
Velasco & Associates, Inc., is the recipient of two 2009 ADDY Awards honoring excellence in advertising and marketing materials. The Awards were presented for a the 2007 Annual Report for the Discovery Center Museum and for the 2008 Annual Appeal brochure for Prairie State Legal Services.
October 2008 – Velasco & Associates Retained by Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration
Velasco & Associates has been selected by SME to develop a new brand for the 100+ year Colorado association to reflect SME's newly expanded membership organizations and benefits. Velasco will develop a new association logo and brand statement, along with an advertising campaign series and a public relations plan.
June 2008 – Velasco & Associates Signs NonProfit Clients
Velasco & Associates announces the signing of three new clients from the nonprofit sector in Rockford, IL. The firm will be working with Klehm Arboretum and Garden Center to provide event branding, as well as marketing support for membership recruitment. Prairie State Legal Services has retained Velasco to develop content and design for the nonprofit’s annual appeal materials. And, Rockford Sexual Assault Counseling has hired Velasco & Associates to develop materials for a year-long fundraising appeal campaign.

April 2008 – Velasco Retained by National Association
Velasco & Associates has been retained by Associated Mail and Parcel Centers to provide marketing support, direction and design work for the national organization. The for-profit organization provides membership services and benefits for independent mail centers. Velasco’s first project for AMPC will be to craft a membership recruitment campaign. |
March 2008 – Kathy Velasco Speaks for NICNE
Kathy Velasco was honored to be the presenter at the March 28, 2008, membership meeting of the Northern Illinois Center for NonProfit Excellence. Kathy developed a one-hour presentation on developing and communicating nonoprofit brand messages.
March 2008 – Velasco Retained by Rockford Toolcraft
Velasco & Associates is pleased to announce a new collaboration with Rockford Toolcraft, Inc., a Rockford-based manufacturer and designer of high-quality dies and stampings. RTI recently installed a 4,400-ton tandem transfer press and has contracted the firm to develop an advertising and PR campaign to promote the press in the metalworking industry.
